Stand at a window, preferably facing East – the place of sunrise, the direction of hope. If you do not have a window, stand in an open doorway.
Send Peace to your loved ones
Place your hands over your heart. Move your attention toward your inner being. Slowly move inward until you reach that place deep inside of you where abiding Peace dwells, the core of Enduring Love.
Now allow your attention to move toward your loved ones. Recall their presence in your life. Open your hands and extend them outward, palms up. Send forth Peace from your heart to those you love, especially those not in harmony with themselves or others.
Send Peace to the Suffering Ones of the World
Place your hands again over your heart. Move your attention toward your inner being. Slowly move inward again until you reach that place deep inside of you where abiding Peace dwells, the core of Enduring Love.
Bring to mind the suffering ones of our world, especially those who live in fear of being harmed in any way. Open your hands and extend them outward, palms up. Send forth the deep Peace in the center of your being to these suffering ones.
Send Peace to Those Whom You Find Difficult to Accept
Place your hands again over your heart. Move your attention toward your inner being. Once more, slowly move inward until you reach that place deep inside of you where abiding Peace dwells, the core of Enduring Love.
Bring to mind those whose presence, personality, ideas, attitudes or actions create judgmental, hostile or irritating feelings within yourself. Focus on one particular person or a group of people who challenge your ability to love. Open your hands and extend them outward, palms up. With as much true intention as will arise within you, send forth the deep Peace in the center of your being to this person or group.
Send Peace to Those Who Consider You Their Enemy
Place your hands again over your heart. Move your attention toward your inner being. Slowly move further inward until you reach that place deep inside of you where abiding Peace dwells.
Bring to mind those known or unknown who consider you an enemy. Open your hands and extend them outward, palms up. With as much true intention as will arise within you, send forth the deep Peace in the center of your being to those who consider you their enemy.
Send Peace to Your Self
Place your hands again over your heart. Move your attention toward your inner being. Slowly move further inward until you reach that place deep inside of you where abiding Peace dwells.
Turn toward yourself. Ponder how you view yourself and your current situation. Allow any area of concern, hurt, or worry to arise. Hold one hand over your heart and extend the other hand on top of your head. Send forth love from your heart to your self. Receive this love as fully as you can.
Concluding prayer
Peace Bringer, create in me a heart filled with the kind of love that reflects your own. Send this love to those I care about and respect. Open my mind to those I want to reject. Open my heart to those I prefer to avoid. Open my eyes to see beyond the surface of individuals and recognize your presence in each one. May my thoughts, words and deeds be devoid of violence in any form. Soften whatever is hardened in my heart so that I bring your peace wherever I go. Remind me often that I, too, am in need of this love and worthy to receive it.
