Adriane Berg interviewed Joyce on her Generation Bold Radio Show: “Aging for Beginners.”
They had an insightful and stimulating conversation about elderhood and Joyce’s book on aging, Fly While You Still Have Wings.

Sr. Joyce Rupp’s most recent collection of original prayers, blessings, poems, and reflections, Prayer Seeds, is the first place winner of a 2018 Catholic Press Association Award: Prayer Collections and a 2018 Association of Catholic Publishers Award: Prayer & Spirituality.
My five talks on Boundless Compassion are now available on DVD from www.osms.org. They are similar to the content in the book but not exactly the same. They can be purchased as downloads from the site, or in hard copy from the Gift Store on that site. Each talk is about fifty minutes in length. These talks can serve as excellent resources for personal spiritual growth, study groups, faith formation, as the focus of update meetings for teachers, catechists, church staffs, social workers, medical personnel, etc. A Study Guide accompanies each of the formats.
Living compassionately is not just a skill but a way of life. In her new book, Boundless Compassion, Joyce Rupp takes readers through the steps of creating a compassionate life. Her work as codirector of the Servite Center of Compassionate Presence makes Rupp the perfect creator of this six-week program and an ideal teacher to spread this message of compassion.
Take a look at the 2018 Events Schedule. For Canadians, please note that I am offering the Four Day Boundless Compassion retreat in late November. This will take place on Bowen Island, near Vancouver. You’ll find information about this on the Events page. Hope you can join us for this retreat.
In 2000, Joyce Rupp, a member of the Servite (Servants of Mary) community and co-director of the Institute of Compassionate Presence, gathered her prayers together in Out of the Ordinary. Prayer Seeds is the follow-up volume with more than 100 never-before-published prayers.
In the introduction to this paperback, Rupp recalls how seeds fascinated her when she lived on a farm in northwest Iowa. Like Thomas Berry who stated that “to plant a seed is to activate the deepest Mysteries of the Universe,” the author harvests meanings from these harbingers of new life.
Seeds have fascinated Joyce Rupp since she was a child growing up on a farm in northwest Iowa. So it’s fitting that the spiritual writer’s new collection of prayers, reflections, and poems seek to grow the spirit from within. Prayer Seeds, a companion to her previous prayer collection, Out of the Ordinary, offers 100 new blessings, reflections, and poems that is a refreshing update for any personal or group prayer.
